TEAM5poker’s ‘Johnny Rags‘ & ‘PokerFit‘ Score Deep Runs in the 2016 WSOP Collussus II & Online NLH Event #66’ (June/July 2016)
TEAM5poker scored deep runs in two major events at this years 47th Annual – 2016 WSOP.
Event #2: $565 Colossus II No-Limit Hold’em – June 2nd, 2016
TEAM5poker‘s ‘Johnny Rags‘ took it deep on June 2nd & 3rd of 2016 in Event #2 the Collussus II taking down $6,015 and placing 138th out-of-a-field of 21,613 players. The prize pool was $10,806,500 with $1M to the first-place winner. After surviving day one of the final flight, ‘Rags‘ went on an incredible run at the start of DAY 2. ‘Rag’s‘ run continued until a table change caused his cards to ‘dry-up‘ at near the end of DAY 2. The Collussus II had a record-breaking field of 21,613 [more than three times (3x) the largest Main Event field and the 2nd largest in the history of the Collussus] (Truth be told, the 2nd largest poker tournament of all time). ‘Rags,‘ better known as ‘Rick D. Lucas‘ outlasted 21,475 of them, many of whom were pros.
Event #66: $1,000 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold’em – July 8th, 2016
TEAM5poker‘s ‘PokerFit‘ made a fantastic deep-run in the WSOP.com NLH ONLINE event held on on July 8th, 2016. Showcasing a $1,184,650 Prize Pool and 1,247 entries, this event was a joy to watch online. ‘PokerFit‘ placed 31st taking home $3,909 after outlasting 1,216 players. Short-stacked for most of the Event, ‘PokerFit‘ scrapped and clawed his way by employing well-timed aggression and incredible patience. Always coming up with a hand when he needed it most and ‘picking his spots‘ like a true champion, ‘PokerFit‘ made a very impressive showing. 1st-Place paid $210,279.
